Luxury Leisure And Hospitality Firm Relocates, Expands – Inks 47,000 SF Lease Deal

Newmark announces a new 47,175-square-foot lease for Nuage Designs at Eastview Commerce Center (ECC) in Miami.

Newmark’s Executive Managing Directors Steve Medwin and Nick Wigoda and Associate John Mejia represented the landlord, Panattoni Development, and the tenant in the transaction.

“This relocation and expansion for Nuage Designs will allow them to continue expanding their business and building their successful brand,” said Wigoda. “The need for quality warehousing options near I-95 in Miami-Dade County puts Eastview Commerce Center at the top of the list for users like Nuage looking for quality space in which to grow.”

Nuage Designs is the leader in couture linen rentals with over a decade of servicing top event planners, celebrities and luxury hotels around the world. Under the direction of Founder and Creative Director Pablo Oliveira, the firm offers unparalleled design aesthetics and expertise to provide the event industry with the best selection in linen and accessories. Following the success of Nuage Designs, Nuage Hospitality was established to offer hotels, restaurants, country clubs, and event venues flexibility and market advantages with customized linens that reinforce their brand and are recognized by luxury clientele.

Nuage Design’s new space will be in Building 6 of Eastview Commerce Center and is an expansion from their former space at 355 NE 71st Street. It features brand-new tilt-wall construction with 32′ clear ceiling heights, located within a fully-secured, master-planned 800,000-square-foot business park. This transaction marks the second major lease signed at the project in as many months and the 16th since Newmark began marketing Eastview Commerce Center. To date, over 757,000 square feet has been leased at the 800,000 square foot business park.

“The leasing momentum we’ve experienced is proof positive that by creating a modern standard for a secure industrial park we’re meeting the needs of area users,” said Hayne Hamilton, Development Partner for Panattoni Development Company. “ECC welcomes Nuage Designs to the community as they continue to build upon their success.”

According to Newmark Research, South Florida is on pace to exceed the record-setting 8.0 million square feet of mid- to large-sized leasing transactions recorded in the previous two years. The market has seen over 4.5 million square feet of lease transactions larger than 20,000 square feet in the first half of 2020.

Eastview Commerce Center is a state-of-the-art business park comprised of six buildings, totaling 800,000 square feet situated on 80 acres. The project sits on a transformed portion of the former Westview Golf Course and offers tenants gated access with lush, tropical landscaping. The buildings feature 32′ clear ceiling height, abundant dock doors, 185’ shared truck courts and ample car parking for employees and visitors. Tenants at ECC also have quick access to the major highways, airports and seaports in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
